Blueberry

Blueberry

The plant genus Vaccinium has provided humanity with berries in the form of blueberries, bilberries, and a wide variety of other closely related fruits for millennia. Vaccinium has a ‘circumpolar distribution’ – meaning they span two continents (North America and Europe) in terms of their indigenous roots. The wild varieties of this berry come from low lying bushes that are tended in large farms called “barrens”, while most commercial blueberries come from highbush varieties grown on large farms scattered around North America and parts of South America. Blueberries can be found in the Strawberry Blueberry Every Bar!
