This tree is one of the longest living and tallest trees in the Amazon Rain Forest. Brazil nuts contain a multitude of vitamins and nutrients including high amounts of selenium. They are a great source of minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants and have been used throughout history to make oils for more traditional medicinal purposes.
